Duration:
3 YRS * full time 

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: 
To produce a skilled assistance to surgeons and anaesthetists in carrying out intricate and complex procedures
To encourage high standard of patient focused care practise

  • To provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • To confidently and competently manage patients undergoing radiographic procedures.

  • Diploma in Medical Imaging from KPJ University College

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent
  • Minimum FIVE (5) credit in SPM:
    • Bahasa Malaysia
    • English
    • Mathematics
    • General Science / Pure Science - Biology / Chemistry / Physic
    • One (1) other subject
  • Minimum IELTS 5.5 (for international students)

THE COURSE AT A GLIMPSE

Want a career in medical imaging? The Diploma in Medical Imaging provides you with the academic and clinical knowledge to work as a medical radiation technologist (MRT).

Learn to safely use radioation to obtain images for diagnostic use. To produce those images, you need a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, physics and the medical radiation equipment 

and clinical techniques you will use.

You also get an introduction to a more advance imaging systems 

at KPJ's 21 prestige private hospitals around Malaysia during your 

clinical attachment.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course structure of this program is integrated based upon four (4) strands:

Strand I

Strand 2

 

Basic Sciences comprising of various scientific modules such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Applied Physics and Patology.

 

 

Health Sciences comprising of Patient Management, Radiobiology and Protection.

 

Strand 3

Strand 4

 

Imaging Sciences comprising of ImagingTechniques, Imaging Technology Instrumentation, Digital Imaging Technology and advance Imaging Modalities.
