PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: 
To produce a skilled assistance to surgeons and anaesthetists in carrying out intricate and complex procedures
To encourage high standard of patient focused care practise

  • The course is designed to produce pharmacy technical practitioners who are knowledgeable and well equipped to practice desirable skills, aptitudes and demonstrate positive personal characteristics in order to function effectively in patient enhancement services using holistic approaches.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent
  • Minimum FOUR (4) credit in SPM:
  • Bahasa Malaysia
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • General Science/Pure Science(Physics / Chemistry / Biology)
  • 1 other subject

Minimum IELTS 5.5 (for International Students)
*To further study to Bachelor Degree, students must obtain credit in Chemistry subject at SPM level

THE COURSE AT A GLIMPSE

Diploma in Pharmacy programme support the pharmacists in ensuring the provision of pharmaceutical care to the individual and the community alike. In addition to continuous and consistent cognitive skills in the evolving pharmacy education and strong interpersonal and communication skills, this course aims to strengthen our graduates to assume responsibility for some of the task previously performed by pharmacists ultimately improving customer service. With the expansion of pharmacy employment, our course is focused to spur the demand of our graduates in all pharmacy practice settings.

THE COURSE STRUCTURE

Strand I  

Strand 2  

 

Basic Sciences comprising of Physical and Organic Chemistry, Integrated Biology and Microbiology, Human Physiology and Integrated Mathematics.

 

 

Pharmacy Sciences comprising of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Infectious and Malignant Diseases, Instrumentation Analysis and Pharmaceutical Microbiology.

 

Strand 3  

 

 

Management Sciences comprising of Behavioural Sciences, Operational Management, Professional Development Aspects and Pharmacy Electives.
