Diploma in Physiotherapy

Duration:
3 YRS * full time 

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: 
To produce a skilled assistance to surgeons and anaesthetists in carrying out intricate and complex procedures
To encourage high standard of patient focused care practise

  • The course is designed to produce physiotherapist who are capable in providing high quality holistic care to customers.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent
  • Minimum FIVE (5) credit in SPM:
    • Bahasa Malaysia
    • English
    • Mathematics
    • General Science / Pure Science - Biology / Chemistry / Physic
    • One (1) other subject
  • Minimum IELTS 5.5 (for international students)

THE COURSE AT A GLIMPSE

Physiotherapy is a 'hands on' physical career in every sense. the personal qualities needed for this rewarding role are tolerance, patience and compassion. You will also need to be practical, able to inspire other people and have a good communication skills.

You will learn to treat patients with physical difficulties resulting from illness, injuries, disabilities or aging and work in a range of setting including hospitals, health centres, private practices and sport clubs.

Formal education provided by KPJUC allow you to practise independently with minimum supervision from lecturers and during your clinical attachment at any of 21 prestige private hospitals own by KPJ Healthcare Berhad you will experience real clinical surrounding as your training ground.  

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course structure for this physiotherapy program is integrated based upon four (4) strands:

Strand I

Strand 2

 

Basic Sciences comprising of various scientific modules such as Pathology and Behavioral Sciences.

 

 

Health Sciences comprising of Physiotherapy and Movement Science, Occupational Health and Health Information.

 

Strand 3

Strand 4

 

Physiotherapy Sciences comprising of Therapeutic and Healthcare System.
